Daimler Donates Truck and Bus 50 Units to Japan
German car manufacturer Daimler has donated trucks and off-road vehicles worth 40 million euros to provide relief and support for reconstruction operations in Japan. The company has handed over 50 units of all-terrain vehicles and trucks, including Fuso, to the Relief Organization for Natural Disasters in Japan, the Nippon Foundation. The vehicles are ideal for use in areas with devastated conditions such as those experienced in Japan. In addition to this, Daimler's Agency Workers have collected donations of over 500,000 euros for the victims in Japan.Daimler AG Board of Management Member Andreas Renschler said, "When we saw pictures of the conditions in Japan, we soon realized that we had to help the local population, nearly 13,000 of our employees in Japan, and the Japanese government as soon as possible with heavy equipment and a variety of other material assistance."
