Sadly, it has come time to sell my faithful "Toaster". I brought her over from Vancouver Island a number of years ago with the intention of doing a full camper van conversion on her. Unfortunately, grad school decided to take up a lot of my time, and I never got around to it.

I've hung onto her for a few years, as the 4x4+5spd vans are quite hard to find, and I wasn't sure I'd be able to get another one. But unfortunately, I just don't have the time for a project vehicle right now.

Recent work:
Re-cored radiator
Replaced fan clutch
Brand new battery
Replaced front windshield
New spark plugs/oil filter (also have a brand new uninstalled air and fuel filter I'll throw in)

There is some body rust, as is known to happen to late 80s Toyotas. No frame rust though.

The odometer and speedometer do not work. The previous owner told me the odometer died on him shortly before he sold it to me. I've only taken it on a few short trips since I've owned it. Just recently, the starter has began acting up as well.

She's old and is definitely showing her age, but her engine is solid. She's completely drivable as is, and would make a great, inexpensive camper van if you were willing to put a bit of work into her.

Forget paying 4x the price for a VW van. These Toyotas are just as good (if not better! 4x4!) and much more affordable.
