Rare short wheel base 2-door 1989 Isuzu Trooper RS 4x4. I bought this about half a dozen years ago from a guy that ran it low on oil, so the rod bearings had sustained some damage. I replaced the bearings, and while the engine still has a slight knock at a certain speed, it's gone probably 30,000 miles without issue. Last year it began randomly stalling on me, though, and I haven't had the time or motivation to track down the cause.

Tires are in excellent (~90%) shape -- they're Firestone Destination A/T on Toyota aluminum rims with aftermarket Warn premium locking hubs. 4-cylinder engine and 5-speed manual transmission. Includes a copy of the factory service manual.

Body is in generally straight condition, with some random bumps, scratched paint, and some rust on the fenders near the wheel wells. The frame is in excellent condition with no rust. Door seals need replacing, windshield is cracked, clutch slave cylinder leaks, and it will probably need a new battery. It has A/C but the belt was removed before I bought it and I've never replaced it, so I don't know if it works. There's an exhaust leak where the manifold joins the downpipe and it runs somewhat rough at idle.

Located about 30 minutes from downtown Ashland. I have clear title. It hasn't been licensed in a year or so, and I transferred the plates to another car of mine, so you'd need to get a permit if you want to drive it away. Since there is the risk of it stalling (although last time I drove it, it ran well), I would recommend trailering it anyway.

VEHICLE SHIPPING/DELIVERY: Due to the nature of where I live (rough roads with sharp turns), car haulers and tractor/trailer rigs can't access my location. I would be willing to deliver the Trooper to a vehicle shipper within the Medford/Central Point area if YOU arrange for the shipping. Payment terms would be the same as any other buyer -- cash on delivery at the terminal when I drop off the vehicle. It's possible that I could also deliver the vehicle to you for a fee if you live on the west coast. Please inquire before bidding if this is of interest to you. Fee will be substantial for longer distances.
