4WD for Sale, 1992 Daihatsu Rocky SX Plus 4x4

This Japanese 4x4 SUV is quite rare in the US more unique than Suzuki Sidekick. As shown here is a rarest model of the Rocky offered by Daihatsu in 1992 were known as Rocky 4x4 SX Plus, still in excellent condition overall, it has been driven about 145000 miles and never get hit all still in perfect condition in and out. This is my beloved Rocky that I am selling. I owned two of these and this is the last one and its time to go. I have retired and need to get rid of a bunch of things I don't use anymore. This Rocky is one of them.

The history as I know it for the time I have owned it, I bought the Rocky in 2003 and promptly got transferred to Minnesota for work. The Rocky stayed behind, here in San Diego, as a driver vehicle for when my wife and I flew back for visits. It was stored indoors on jacks and covered in the dark for 14 years. It was driven maybe 4 times a year. It was started every month by a friend to keep the seals soft. It has been licensed in Minnesota but has never been there.

It has had a recent timing belt, water pump, fan clutch, radiator, hoses and belts along with the valve adjustment. It has like new tires on it, maybe 1000 miles, nitrogen filled. Just put a new egr sensor and had it smoged January 2017.

I have seen a lot of Rockys sold in the past few years and they all clam that theirs is the rarest. I can tell you that this one is the rarest of the rare. It is and SX Plus. That means it has power windows, power locks, rear wiper, front and rear washers, SX Plus interior with sound proofing, the rear seats are individual buckets and each passenger has their own glove/storage box. It also has the chrome package and the front bumper guard. The carpet is like new and has always had floor mats on them. There is no radio and the A/C needs a charge but worked great up until a year ago. The person before me had some paint work done so it may have had some damage but it drives perfect and has no dents.

Both tops come off and are in excellent condition. I had a custom fit car cover made for it that cost $450 and will include to the right person. You can still get parts and there is a support group on the web called WARFS.org

This is a great little 4x4 for running around or towing behind a motorhome.
