VERY NICE RUNNING AND DRIVING RARE MEDIUM BLUE BLAZER!
LOW MILAGE, TWO OWNER ORIGINAL BLAZER. ORIGINAL DEALER INVOICE, PROTECT-O PLATE, OWNER'S MANUAL.
I just picked up this amazing 1971 K5 Blazer that had been in storage for many years up in Oregon. It was purchased new at Hanson Motors in Roseburg, OR by the original owner and spent its entire life nearby. It is believed to have had only two local owners and the last one owned it for over 20 years. The mileage of 63,467 is believed to be original. Not only do we have the original Dealer Invoice, but we also have the owner's manual and Protecto Plate. This is a very nice Blazer that would make a great driver, or a perfect candidate for a restoration.
INTERIOR:
The interior is very nice for its age. All of the paint looks nice and the dash is in good shape and although the radio was replaced at one time, the dash was not cut. The back seat looks like it was never sit in. It has the factory rubber mat throughout that is in good shape. The front buckets are the heavy duty buckets with the metal backs that flip up. They are both in pretty good shape, but the driver's seat has a tear on the top of the vinyl. It has the dealer optioned Roll Bar and a very cool vintage Auxiliary gas tank over wheel well. I believe it is not connected to the fuel system, but all of the original equipment is there if you wanted to clean the tank and hook it back up.
EXTERIOR:
The exterior is very nice, both the paint and the chrome shine bright. The top is in nice condition and the heavy duty rear bumper is in great shape. There is some rust in the usual spots like the rockers and the edge of the floor pans where they meet the rockers. The top of driver's fender also has some rust along the top. Surprisingly the cargo area is rock solid.
MECHANICAL:
It has newer GM Goodwrench 350 Crate motor, due to the original motor freezing one cold Winter. The motor is running a newer Edelbrock carburetor along with upgraded Electronic Ignition. It starts easily, it idles smooth and it drives great. The transmission shifts very strong and it stops and drives straight. The fuel tank was replaced with an ABS tank. It also has a vintage auxiliary tank in the rear, but I believe it has been bypassed. All of the equipment (fuel switch) is still there if you wanted to clean it and utilize it again.
