4WD for Sale, Mitsubishi Delica 4x4 Diesel Pop Top Van

Found this nice all-terrain camper van being offered for sale in Laguna Niguel, as shown here is pop top camper van based on the Japanese 4x4 diesel van produced by Mitsubishi Motors in 1995 known as Delica L300.

The condition is runs and drives, but not perfect and needs some work on it, a leak in the engine, and the bodywork is needed thanks to rust and dents reported, but it has a lot of potential as a project as the owner said.

1995 Mitsubishi L300 Delica 189k mi (converted from KM) Pop top and interior build out by ‘burow mobil’ in the Netherlands. Imported from the Netherlands by auto importer out of Ohio. Purchased as a family project with intended use as a part time beach-comber / grocery getter. Have had it since April 2022. Not made much progress due to recent life events.

2.5L diesel with 5spd column shift. LHD. Exceptionally rare.

Vehicle runs, drives and stops but make no mistake, this is a project in need of a full mechanical (there are leaks) and cosmetic (there is rust, a large dent in sliding door on pass side, dings/scratches throughout) restoration. Despite it all, it’s got a lot of potential, functionality and charm.

Pop top works great although headliner of roof is sagging. No holes in pop top material. 2 side windows have a ‘zip out’ cover/shade with mesh for cabin airflow. The rear facing ‘window’ is clear plastic (non-breathing). Have not tried to use any of the appliances although all the hook ups appear present and accounted for. Vehicle also appears to have a diesel heater, again have not tested. Has dual battery setup and the vehicle is kept on a battery tender (would advise replacing batteries).

Please do your own due diligence in regards to vehicle title and registration as it applies to your situation. The vehicle holds a clean and clear OHIO TITLE in my name with all import paperwork completed.

5th pic from the last shows a ‘2nd row’ bench / console that folds flat into a bed (the hinging mechanism needs work). It comes with seatbelts that are questionable to today’s standards.

No rush to sell as my kids use it as their club house (we do not camp in it) from time to time. They absolutely adore the thing and are bummed that we are selling.
